A lifetime of artistic exploration has led artist Wil Shepherd to a variety of places and inspirations. Wil is a Texas native with a Mexican/German linage, who now lives and works in Venice, California.
From an accelerated highschool art education, Wil attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, as well as Loyola university simultaneously. An education which explored diversified cultures and religions, as well as extensive art history and studio classes has provided a mass of resources for inspiration.
Having lived in many cities has broadened the scope of development as well as a greater understanding of regional resources, and influences. With opportunities to show in as many places as well. Wil Shepherd's work has been shown in both group as well as one man shows over the past twenty years internationally.
A few of Wil commissions and exhibits include Progressive Insurance (Cleveland, Ohio), Marshall Fields inc. (Chicago, Illinois), Joyce Hong Kong (Singapore), Art Art (Tokyo, Japan), Art at the Warehouse ( Key West, Florida), Three Legged Dog Gallery (Key West, Florida), Susan Bridges (Atlanta, Ga.), Jansen Art Space (Palm Springs, California), Vita Art Center ( Ventura, California), as well as a number of galleries nationwide.
